Raquel Maulwurf in De Telegraaf and Den Haag Centraal 31/03/2017

Raquel Maulwurf solo exhibition The Carbon War Room at Gemeentemuseum The Hague received a 4 stars review by Paola van de Velde in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, 31 March 2017. Another great review, by Hendrik van Leeuwen, was published in local newspaper Den Haag Centraal of 16 March 2017.

Maulwurf and Schleime in Armando Collection 31/03/2017

Drawings by Raquel Maulwurf and Cornelia Schleime a.o. from the private collection of Armando have recently been donated to the Chabot Museum in Rotterdam. The complete collection will be on view at the Chabot Museum in 2019, travelling on to Germany. See also the article in Dutch newspaper Trouw of 25 April 2017.  

Raquel Maulwurf, solo exhibition at Gemeentemuseum Den Haag 09/03/2017

Gemeentemuseum Den Haag presents a solo exhibition of Raquel Maulwurf. Especially for this exhibition, Raquel Maulwurf developed the installation The Carbon War Room. It arose from the desire to physically create the depth that is evoked in her charcoal drawings in three-dimensions. The installation is flanked by monumental drawings from both her war and nature series. The exhibition is on view from 18 March until 18 June 2017.

Simon Schrikker nominated for Gerrit van Houten Award 2016 06/03/2017

Simon Schrikker is nominated for the Gerrit van Houten Award 2016. An exhibition with works by the nominees will be on view at Academie Minerva in Groningen. Opening 9 March, on view until 31 March 2017. The winners will be announced on 23 March 2017

Jannis Kounellis dies, aged 80 17/02/2017

Legendary artist Jannis Kounellis dies aged 80. We are honored to have been able to present his work in the Netherlands over the past 25 years in cooperation with Galerie Lelong, Paris. In 2016, our last exhibition of Kounellis at the gallery featured a special selection of his object cases from 1991-2016.

Adriaan Rees in The Hague, Nanjing and Shanghai 11/01/2017

Adriaan Rees, Body Piece, 2010 is currently on view at the collection presentation of Museum Beelden Aan Zee in The Hague. In 2016, JIWU Art Space in Nanjing, China presented HIDDEN BODIES IN SILENT SCENERIES, a solo exhibition of Adriaan Rees (until 6 November 2016). In 2017 Adriaan Rees will have a solo exhibition at ACN Gallery in Shanghai and in 2018 a solo exhibition at Museum Beelden Aan Zee.
