After the success of "The Blue Revolution" in Delft and Jingdezhen (China ) , the exhibition will travel to the Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park Museum in Dongguan . The Yuan Chonghuan Memorial Park is named after the hero Yuan Chonghuan .. Yuan Chonghuan (June 6, 1584 - September 22, 1630) was a famous soldier during the Ming Dynasty and trusty of the emperor. Twinning Delft with Jingdezhen
The joint exhibition 'The Blue Revolution' is one of the results of the collaboration between the cities of Delft and Jingdezhen ceramics. This collaboration will include getting a sequel in the form of an exhibition in the near future. We hope that the visitors of the scheduled exhibition in Delft can see particular collection of ceramics from the Imperial Porcelain Museum in Jingdezhen in Museum Prinsenhof Delft.
The exhibition presents contemporary ceramics by well-known Dutch and Chinese artists and classic porcelain from Jingdezhen and traditional Delftware, supplemented by archaeological finds from Delft. These archaeological finds are partly ancient porcelain from Jingdezhen and partly ancient Delftware.
