Hugo Tieleman is the winner of the Public Prize of the Royal Awards for Modern Painting 2013. His painting ‘Trans Niger Pipeline 7’ received the most votes. The second place is for Jorn van Leeuwen with his painting ‘Geranium Meteoor 8’.

In the context of the exhibition Royal Awards for Modern Painting a Public Prize is awarded each year. By completing an entry form, visitors of the exhibition give their preference for one of the works on show. The painting with the most votes will be raffled among the visitors that made their choice for this painting. If the painting is worth more than 2,300 euros, another painting of the winning artist can be purchased for up to this amount.
